untitled-design-10.png

Saturdays 10:00 - 12:00 for 3 weeks

Do you notice that sometimes you feel anxious and worry too much? Are you sometimes not able to stop or control worrying? If so, we invite you to an online CBT course so you can learn new ways of managing worries.

About Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
In these sessions we will be using techniques from CBT to help you learn how to manage your worry. CBT looks at how your thoughts (including worries), emotions, behaviours and physical sensations are all interlinked and interact with each other. Sometimes, this interaction can develop into a negative cycle.

It aims to:

· Understand more about your feelings of worry and ways  of managing these symptoms.

·  To learn about the Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approach to understanding worry and anxiety.

·  To better understand your worries.

·  To identify the triggers that make you feel worried and anxious.

·  To develop ways of coping and managing your worries, so that your worries feel more proportionate and you feel more in control.

·  To recognise that you are not alone.

Wellbeing Support Course for Late-Identified Females with Autism

FEMALE AUTISM IDENTIFIED IN ADULTHOOD

The entire generation of Females of 30+, missed out on their diagnosis of Autism just because the diagnostic criterion used to be very much aligned with male autistic traits, until recently. Little was known decades ago that female traits can present themselves quite differently and tend to be a lot more subtle and inwards, especially in high-functioning cases. Additionally, recent scientific evidence shows that females tend to camouflage their condition and learn to copy others in order to fit in. However, without knowing the reason for difficulties or receiving a diagnosis, feeling odd/bad/not fitting becomes internalised as trauma inside. Autistic females are also more prone to falling into a toxic relationship or becoming abuse victims.

Are you a female and have ever wondered why nothing can quite explain your life that you are struggling to keep together? Come and join the course. You don't have to be officially diagnosed in order to sign up and I am happy to have an informal chat to help you assess suitability. The course will further help to explore the possibility of being autistic, help to process the information, and talk to others in a similar position and receive support. There are also loads of quiz tests online you can take as guidance prior to the course.

Something to keep in mind, autistic people can appear quite different to one another and no autistic person is the same. For example: a common area is sensory issues but they can be completely different in nature or some might not even have them. Also, Autism is like a scale of 0 to 10 and challenges can greatly vary.

Thursdays 18:00 - 20:00 for 10 weeks

Course is devoted to learning about female autism, masking, divising strategies, processings traumas and diagnosis, abtaining support network and improving mental health of females who been identified with autism in adulthood.
